Greenwich Park, situated in the Royal Borough of Greenwich in London, is one of the city's eight Royal Parks and offers a blend of natural beauty, historical significance, and panoramic views. Spanning 183 acres, it is one of the oldest enclosed royal parks, dating back to the 15th century when it was enclosed by Henry IV.

The park is renowned for its stunning views, especially from the hilltop near the Royal Observatory, where visitors can enjoy a breathtaking vista of the River Thames, the City of London skyline, and Canary Wharf. The Royal Observatory itself is a key attraction, marking the Prime Meridian Line, which divides the eastern and western hemispheres of the Earth.

Greenwich Park is rich in history, featuring landmarks such as the Queen's House, an elegant 17th-century mansion, and the remnants of a Roman temple. The park also boasts beautifully landscaped gardens, including the formal flower garden, ancient tree avenues, and a tranquil deer park.

In addition to its historical and natural attractions, Greenwich Park provides ample recreational opportunities. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks, picnics, sports facilities, and children's playgrounds. The park also hosts various events throughout the year, including outdoor theater performances, concerts, and seasonal festivals.

Overall, Greenwich Park offers a unique combination of history, nature, and culture, making it a beloved green space for both locals and tourists alike.

Storm Éowyn will bring strong winds Friday, with heavy rain clearing later. Winds easing Saturday, cloudy with rain and hill snow possible. Further strong winds and rain likely later Sunday.

This looks like being and unsettled period across much of the country, but especially for northern and western parts. During Sunday and into Monday, another deep area of low pressure looks likely to move across the UK from the Atlantic, bringing wet and windy conditions to most if not all parts. Further spells of wet and windy weather look like moving east from the Atlantic to affect the UK during the rest of the period too, with drier, brighter spells in between. There is the potential for further weather warnings or even a named storm at some point. Temperatures overall are likely to end up being around or slightly above average, though wind and rain will make it feel chilly, and brief cool spells are likely between weather systems.

Generally mild at first, with periods of rain, showers and strong winds alternating with short-lived brighter and cooler interludes. With time, these may become increasingly confined to northern parts, with pressure possibly building across southern areas. This would result in longer drier and more-settled spells here, albeit with an increased chance of overnight fog and frost with temperatures falling correspondingly.
